Make a beaded wire body and wrap the wings in shimmering crystals in the colours of your choice. Can be made in copper or silver plate. Finish with a brooch pin, hang as a pendant from a chain or sew onto a hairband. Great to pin on coats, hats or scarves and draw a bit of attention.
Sun 23 Oct 2-4.30pm
An interesting and varied technique which can be used for earrings, necklace, pendant, bracelet - you name it. A choice of copper or silver plated wires adds to the variety. After learning the technique you experiment and design your own piece(s) of jewellery.

STONE & CABOCHON SETTING
Learn two different ways of setting undrilled stones or cabochons. The twisted frame setting is a simple, quick way to set stones. The basket weave setting takes a bit longer and is more challenging. The results are simply stunning! Wires and two stones included.
GEMSTONE BONSAI TREE
Like for the Bonsai tree in the pot we use gemstone chips, crystal beads and a simple twisting technique to create the tree. We will then mount this onto a natural rock so that ‘roots’ are visible – an enchanting project. All materials (prepared rock, wire, crystals etc.) included.
A very seasonal workshop with resulting jewellery that can be worn all year round. We will be embossing and flame colouring copper sheet leaves and accentuate with crystals and beads. Combined with wire (also leaf shaped), the variations are sheer endless and the colours are warm and vibrant. Expect a challenging and very creative afternoon.
FINE SILVER FUSING
This is a step towards traditional silversmithing – a very exciting project. Fuse fine silver wire into rings to make a stunning pendant or earrings. Shape, hammer and texture the rings. Add beads on balled silver headpins. Because of the high cost of fine silver only Pendant or Earrings are included in the price. Materials for further pieces of jewellery can be purchased on the day.
If you want to start using precious metals and make a piece of classy jewellery which does not lose its good looks, then this is an ideal first project. In this workshop you will be making two bracelets: one with silver plated wire to give you enough confidence to make the same bracelet with Sterling Silver wire. All materials are included (yes, the Sterling Silver wire too!).
FINE SILVER CHAIN
This project needs the experience of the first Fine Silver Fusing workshop as a basis.
We will be making a heavy gauge continuous fine silver chain to use as a bracelet. You will learn how to make a variety of shapes like round, oval, rectangular or heart. If you like, beads can be connected between the links. Finish with a Sterling silver lobster clasp.
Materials for one completed bracelet will be included. More pictures here
